Return to Dentistry & What You Can Expect

Dental Healthcare Providers are slowly returning to practice. We are now allowed to provided elective and non-essential procedures in addition to emergency and essential treatment. A limited selection of dental hygiene services will gradually be added until we are able to offer complete hygiene treatment.

Your health and safety are our number one concern. That is why we will continue to follow the strict guidelines that have been set out by the Ministry of Health and our Regulatory College that we always follow. We have added extra measures to ensure your safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our office has Surgically Clean Air units in the operatories. This system purifies the air at a rapid rate of exchange to remove any unhealthy airborne particles that may exist. Enhanced environmental cleaning practices are in place.

When you return to our office it will be a different experience then you are used to. Access to the office remains restricted. To enter the office each patient will ring the doorbell and a team member will come down to escort you upstairs. Each patient will be required to undergo two screenings, one on the telephone and one onsite. The onsite screening will include a temperature check. Patients are required to wear a face covering during their visit to the office. Entry is limited to patients; guests will be asked to wait in the vehicle. For children, and patients requiring assistance, one adult may accompany them. The guest must pass the onsite screening and wear a face covering the entire time in the office. All patients/guests are required to use hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the office as well as practice social distancing measures. Patients will use an oral rinse for 30-60 seconds prior to examination.

There have been some physical changes in the office. Currently we are not using the reception area for pre appointment gathering. Instead we ask that patients wait in their vehicle until their appointment time. The children’s area is not available, and we have removed books and magazines. Pictures and plants have been removed from the operatories. We also have plexiglass around the reception desk.
If you have any questions regarding your safety, please let us know. We will be happy to discuss your concerns.

You may contact the office to schedule an appointment for your dental treatment. We look forward to seeing you again.
